On the occasion of the celebration of Africa Day 2009, the United Nations African Ambassasdors Spouce's Group (UNAASG). In partnership with the African Union held a special event at United Nations Deligate Dining Room. The event gathered UN Ambassadors from 53 African countries, UN Memeber States Permanant Representatives, foreign diplomats, corprate leaders, non-governmental agencies heads, and academics.
